Vines and Flowers

In this series of paintings, I explore the concept of movement in forms of nature, particularly in the linear movements of vines, flowers, and branches.  The complex interweaving of brushstrokes creates a spatial unity of form and tones infused with an overall lyricism.

The simple, Zen inspired paintings of Japan are an enriching inspiration for this work.
